Synopsis
Set against the backdrop of WWI, BESA tells a story about a bond between the custodian of a local school who gives his word to a teacher, forced to go to war, that he will look after his wife while he is away. The two, an illiterate, patriarchal Albanian man and a young and pretty Slovenian woman are forced to an awkward cohabitation in the empty school.
